Dow Thailand Group, the leading science group of companies in Thailand, is the largest manufacturing base of SCGC-Dow in the Asia-Pacific region. Dow started its business in Thailand in 1967, then expanded through a joint venture with SCG in 1987 (in 2022, SCG Chemicals rebranded to SCGC). At present, Dow Thailand Group consists of Dow's wholly-owned subsidiaries [1) Dow Chemical Thailand Ltd. 2) Carbide Chemical (Thailand) Ltd. 3) Rohm & Haas Chemical (Thailand) Ltd.] and SCGC-DOW joint ventures operated by Dow [1) Siam Polystyrene Co., Ltd. 2) Siam Polyethylene Co., Ltd. 3) Siam Styrene Monomer Co., Ltd. 4) Siam Synthetic Latex Co., Ltd.]. In addition, there is also a Solvay and Dow joint venture [1) MTP HP JV (Thailand) Ltd.].
