Senior Sales Specialist (Dow Industrial Solutions)

Dow Thailand has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sales Specialist, located in Bangkok office. This position manages the sales and innovation pipeline of medium/large, complex accounts and distribution with the key objective to maintain and grow in alignment to the sales goals and marketing plan. You will be responsible for Dow Industrial Solution applications in these industries:

  • Coatings, Inks and Adhesive
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Industrial and Institutional Cleaning and Home Care
  • Agriculture (Crop Solutions)

Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Manages account portfolio - develops and implements account plans.
  • Leads and coordinates customer relationships.
  • Charters business development projects/strategies, and investigates new channels to market
  • Develops and executes sales/marketing plan, delivering both value and volume.
  • Collects and utilizes market intelligence to shape sales/marketing plan.
  •  Leads/conducts negotiations and implements price change.
  • Collaborates with other function(s) stakeholders to deliver improving CX results.
  • Delivers growth, including cross business opportunities.
  • Understands short vs long term tradeoffs and is able to articulate them for win solutions.
  • Comfortable leading and organizing meetings with business leadership and the customer
  • Strong bias for action and thorough follows up
  • Highly self-motivated and seeks out missing information to complete projects successfully
  •  Prioritizes business objectives with an owner's mindset

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Preferred a minimum of a bachelor’s degree i business, chemistry or engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Sales is required.
  • Fluency in English, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in computer skills such as Microsoft office
  • Be eligible to work in Thailand and communicate Thai fluently. 
  • Strong experience and knowledge on any of these key market segments would be advantage: Coatings, Inks, Adhesives, Pharma, Crop Solutions, I&I Cleaning or Home Care

  • Negotiation & Communication: Skilled in negotiating contracts, service terms, and pricing to achieve win-win outcomes for both the company and the customer. And ability to clearly and effectively exchange information, ideas, thoughts, with others internally & externally.
  • Strategic Planning: Develops and executes account plans independently, aligning with broader sales goals. Tracks performance metrics and adjusts strategies without needing constant feedback.
  • Persuasive and influence: Adept at influencing stakeholders and clients through compelling communication and value-driven proposals.
  • Interpersonal effectiveness: Builds strong, trust-based relationships with clients and internal teams through empathy, active listening, and clear communication.
  • Adaptive for change and crisis management: Remains calm and solution-focused under pressure; quickly adapts to changing customer demands or market conditions.
  • Customer Relationship management - Strong focus on customer satisfaction and retention. Ability to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Cross function collaborations: Works effectively across departments (e.g. Marketing, CSR, Supply chain) to deliver seamless customer experiences
  • Stakeholder management: ability to identify, engage, influence, and maintain positive relationships with all individuals or groups who have an interest in or impact on the sales process—both internally and externally.
